Hello, my name is Nyuma T, and I am a female home carer with experience in providing hourly and overnight care. Over the years, I have had the privilege of caring for individuals with various conditions, including being bedbound, anxiety, depression, dementia, autism, arthritis and down syndrome.
Although I have a car, I am able to drive and have reliable transportation to reach my clients. My skills include assisting with bathing, toileting, dressing, catheter care, and providing companionship. I always prioritize my clients' comfort and wellbeing, ensuring that they feel heard, valued, and supported.
Outside of my work as a carer, I enjoy various hobbies such as walking, cooking and baking, decorating, and DIY projects. I find joy in engaging with nature, whipping up delicious meals, and adding a personal touch to living spaces. I believe these hobbies allow me to bring a sense of creativity and positivity into my caregiving role.
In addition to caring for people, I also have a fondness for animals. I am comfortable around cats, fish, rabbits, birds. Their presence brings me joy and I believe pets can have a therapeutic effect, providing companionship and emotional support to those they share their lives with.
Ultimately, my motivation for being a home carer stems from my passion for helping others lead independent lives.
